To proactively support the growth and development of a profitable business via the professional delivery of customer service that exceeds our customers’ expectations
Respond to, prepare and submit quotations in line with customer’s deadlines, using email, telephone or hard copy
Pro-active follow-up of customer’s enquiries to build and generate profitable order
Develop and maintain relationships with branch customers and potential customers
Make proactive outbound calls to customers and potential customers in line with company campaigns
Maintain customer data base
Enters sales orders onto the company system
Trade counter activities as required
Support and contribute to branch key performance indicators
Carry out administrative tasks as requested by the Branch manager in line with the company Business procedures in order to maintain ISO accreditation
To track, progress and chase incoming product orders and ensure customer’s expectations are managed
Support face-to-face customer visits, where requested
Must have experience of working in a busy telephone sales/customer service environment
PC literate (Microsoft Excel and Word) ideally to intermediate level
A background in customer service, either in a consumables, industrial or engineering environment
Ongoing training forms a central element of the role and will be provided by in-company and external providers at our National Distribution Centre in addition to in-branch coaching.
