UK Business Development Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding and professional company within their field. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.
This role is to develop existing accounts, through good account management. Promote and extend product ranges and tender for new business.
You will need to identify and penetrate new accounts within the following industrial sectors: Utility Companies, Electrical Wholesalers, Construction, Telecommunication, Engineering, Industrial/Electrical Catalogues.
You will be required to give technical assistance to customers, working with customers to find the right bespoke solutions to a range of potential problems.
Attending exhibitions in the UK and overseas, language skills would be an advantage.
This is an on the road & office based role for a conscientious, hardworking individual with good people skills and a flexible attitude. Self motivation and enthusiasm is essential.
Candidates need to have a 'hands-on' and 'can-do' mentality, be able to use their own initiative and be prepared to take responsibility for their own work.
A background in the Utilities or Hire industry would be a distinct advantage.
Sales and Marketing experience is less important than positive attitude and technical aptitude.
