An exciting opportunity has come up for a claims handler to assist clients with the presentation of valid insurance claims, negotiate and obtain settlement of claims, liaising with clients, insurers and loss adjusters, as necessary· Keeping clients informed of the progress, provide assistance with insurance braking, provide assistance with insurance braking accounts including banking of premiums and the reconciliation of insurance company statements· Maintaining a good working relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers· To undergo training in line with agreed objectives and keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments· To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development(CPD)·
Immediately to advise your Manager of any problems which may fall outside your authority, level of experience or which in any way detract from your ability to achieve your work objectives· Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by your Manager/the Directors
At intermediate level - the main classes of business and personal insurance, the company's procedures and rules and, to the extent to which they relate to the Job, regulation and compliance.
At basic level - other types of insurance, market practice, principles of insurance, and specific law (insurance and otherwise)
Candidate requirements
Intermediate - Acturis Computer System to the extent that it relates to the Job·
Basic - electronic mail, the internet Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
The ability to apply knowledge and understanding to the Job·
