Job Description
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Electrochemistry to work with Prof. P. N. Bartlett on the development of electrochemical deposition of nano-materials from supercritical fluids.
Candidates for the post should have strong postgraduate research experience in electrochemistry, including familiarity with a range of electrochemical techniques and instrumentation. The appointee will be responsible for studies of the deposition of a range of metals, alloys and semiconductors from supercritical fluid solutions.
The successful candidate will join a large multidisciplinary team developing electro-deposition from supercritical fluids including the synthesis of novel electrolytes and reagents, phase characterisation of supercritical fluids, design on new electrochemical deposition cells, fabrication of nanostructured templates, and chemical and functional characterisation of nanostructured materials.
This fixed-term post is available to start immediately.
