Job Description

The University (iSolutions) is looking to recruit two experienced Enterprise Systems Solutions Specialists to join a  team of professional specialists responsible for architecting and delivering reliable and scalable ICT solutions across network, telephony, desktop, server and storage infrastructures.

iSolutions, one of the largest departments within the University of Southampton’s Professional Services Group, provides all aspects of ICT to support all University activities. This includes Learning and Teaching, Research and University Administration and supports a diverse user community of over 35,000 University staff and students.

Qualified to degree level or equivalent with demonstrable experience of working in a similar dynamic working environment, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks.

You will enjoy operating as a successful and contributing leader of a team working to extremely high standards and committed to achieving deadlines and customer satisfaction.

To be successful, you will require demonstrable experience of technical leadership in the design of large enterprise solutions (especially storage) and also experience of increasing service availability by using Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 and/or VMWare vSphere. Experience of other enterprise solutions based on Linux, Mac, network switching/routing or VOIP would be a distinct advantage.
