Job Description
The successful candidate will undertake work to develop an effective pervasive system for treating Autistic children at the home settings in a personalised way. Brain connectivity guided Neurofeedback could be an effective way for treating Autistic children if the connectivity pattern between different regions of the brain could be understood in a stimulus-specific way. Pervasive EEG equipment will be used to capture unmodulated brain connectivity in stimulus-specific way and the findings will be translated to develop a home-based gaming system that can pervasively train children with Autism.
You will have a PhD in signal processing and machine learning with in-depth knowledge of novel algorithm formulation. Knowledge of biomedical signal processing especially EEG signal processing and understanding of brain functionality under different stimulus is also essential.
Candidates who are about to submit their PhD thesis and can start work from February 2012 are also eligible.
This post is fixed term until September 2014.
