    Our client who is situated just outside Winchester is looking for an experienced Office manager to carry out the job of running the internal operations team.  The job will entail all internal operations, administration team, accounts team and vehicle fleet.  You will be responsible for all staff management and improving internal procedures, working closely with the sales and marketing director.

    Summary
    Head of Support Services. Report directly to the Board.

    1. Staff.
    HR issues relating to all staff, eg employment contracts, health and safety, maintenance of personnel records etc. Total permanent staff about 14, plus 2 or 3 temporary staff.

    2. Financials
    Supervision of support staff consisting of book-keeper and accountant.
    Responsible for financial probity, credit control (in liaison with sales), budgets and forecasts.
    Dealing with outside accountants/auditors.

    3. Distribution
    Supervision of the Transport Manager and 3 drivers.
    Responsible for freighting requirements, largely consisting of goods coming from China by sea and air. Maintenance of vehicle fleet.

    4. Information Technology
    Supervision of the company IT needs.
    Responsibility for managing outside contractors regarding maintenance of existing IT systems and proposed improvements. Liaising with sales and marketing over new website development.

    5. Accommodation
    Supervision of all activities relating to the offices and the warehouse.
    First point of contact regarding the maintenance and development of accommodation needs. Responsibility for liaison with the landlord.

    6. Liaise with Sales & Marketing
    Responsible for ensuring the support side work closely with the sales and marketing side.

    7. Board
    Communicating with the Board on all the above. Assist with and attend Board meetings as required.

    You will have a positive attitude, have previous experience of office management, reporting and staff appraisal, the ideal candidate will have a distribution background and experience of order processing.
